Overview of role

As the Executive Manager for corporate services you will be in charge of ensuring the proper conduct of the organization’s financial affairs through the provision of efficient and effective financial systems. Equally important will be ensuring that the organisation’s support functions of human resource, office management, health and safety, purchasing, and ICT services are delivered effectively and efficiently injecting innovation and new ideas in all areas, especially HR and IT.

Job description

  • You will form an integral part of the executive team as you will contribute at a strategic level and ensure that the strategy is aligned with all functions under your management.
  • You will delegate appropriate responsibilities for the provision of Corporate Services whilst retaining overall accountability for the delivery of those services and provide advice and support to the organisation on matters relating to any issue within the remit of Corporate Services.
  • Contribute to the management of the Organisation, as a member of the Executive Management team.
  • Delegate appropriate responsibility for the provision of corporate services whilst retaining overall accountability for the delivery of those services.
  • Provide advice and support to the Organisation on matters relating to any issue within the remit of Corporate Services.
  • Deputize, as necessary, for the Chief Executive, representing the Chief Executive and Organisation, where appropriate.
  • To oversee the finance function, ensuring proper administration of the Organisation’s financial affairs; advising and assisting the Chief Executive and other Executive Managers on budget and financial planning strategies.
  • To monitor and revise the budget in line with changing and projected demands.To ensure effective control and management of the Organisation’s grants and expenditure.
  • To oversee the human resources function, ensuring the provision of advice on HR matters for the Organisation; including development and review of relevant HR strategies, policies and procedures.

Requirements, Education and Experience

  • You should have 10 years’ work experience with at least 5 years served at senior management level in a multi-disciplinary organization with achievements or experience with managing multiple functions especially finance.
  • A master’s degree in Business Administration; Strategy Management; or Public Enterprise Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy; Finance; Human Resources Management; Business Administration or related field is required.
