Overview of role

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will provide strategic direction and leadership oversight to the Prime Health retail and managed care pharmacy businesses, driving business growth and ensuring highest levels of operational excellence and service quality.

Job description

  • Contribute to the company’s long term strategy

  • Manage efficient and cost-effective procurement of stock
  • Optimize robust inventory management processes and controls
  • Boost sales and supply of medicines and pharmaceutical products
  • Manage SLA agreements with corporate clients

Requirements, Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Postgraduate qualification in Business or Strategy will be an added advantage
  • Valid registration with Botswana Health Professions Council
  • Ten (10) years’ work experience with at least five (5) years in a senior managerial role
  • Thorough knowledge of government laws and regulations governing pharmaceutical services
  • Strong pharmacy retail background and experience and experience in managing multiple pharmacies under one network

It provides a variety of services including emergency medical assistance, emergency medical training, primary healthcare services (general medical practice and pharmaceutical) as well as outsourced contact centre services. They have a vacancy for a Head of Pharmacy.
