Overview of role

Reporting to the Rewards and HR Partnering Manager, you will act as the first point of reference for Human Resources related queries from internal and external partners. You will be responsible for aligning staff to business objectives, recruiting the right talent, enhancing staff performance, supporting employee development, enhancing recruitment efforts, and overseeing the day-to-day operations in the human resources function.

Job description

  • Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants
  • Contact job applicants to inform them of the status of their applications
  • Provide assistance in administering employee benefit programs and worker's compensation plans
  • Arrange for advertising or posting of job vacancies and notify eligible workers of position availability
  • Develop and nurture partnerships through human resources to bridge the divide between management and employees
  • Maintain awareness of the culture, plans, financial position, and competition of the business units under the HR department
  • Assist in designing, building and implementing talent and succession management programs to support business priorities
  • Assist in conducting exit interviews and ensure that necessary employment termination paperwork is completed
  • Assist in the implementation of formal consultation processes with all affected staff and unions
  • Implement the department’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure alignment to the Centre’s ISO Standards
  • Create/ update communications and other documentation in support of talent management initiatives
  • Maintain, analyse and report on data related to performance, talent, and learning initiatives
  • Develop employee performance reports and present trends and analysis to Executive Management

Requirements, Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Management and related field required
  • At least 5 years experience in the development and the implementation of employment policies and procedures
