Overview of role

For the role of Managing Director, Botash seeks a strong leader with excellent business and financial acumen, together with proven general management experience and strategic thinking capabilities, to steer the business and grow shareholder value. Reporting to the Board of Directors and resident in Sowa Town, the Managing Director will be responsible for: developing and implementing strategic business plans; stakeholder management; financial management; customer service and quality; compliance and governance; business growth; people management and ensuring highest standards of Safety, Health and Environment.

Reporting to the Board of Directors and resident in Sowa Town, the Managing Director will be responsible for: developing and implementing strategic business plans; stakeholder management; financial management; customer service and quality; compliance and governance; business growth; people management and ensuring highest standards of Safety, Health and Environment.

Requirements, Education and Experience

You will have all round leadership skills, exceptional communication and negotiating skills in order to build relationships with key stakeholders and influence decision making at the highest level. Experience in managing operations of a similar nature will be a distinct advantage along with proven track-record and demonstrable leadership success. You will have an engineering degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering or a related field together with membership of a recognized professional institution. You will have at least 20 years’ experience of which 10 years would have been gained in an executive management position of a major company. Your knowledge of the global industrial chemicals business, commercial awareness and customer focus will ideally position you for this role.
